Sanya Aviation & Tourism College is a 3-year vocational higher education institution approved by Hainan Provincial Government and recorded by the State Education Ministry. The college was founded in April 2005 by Hainan Airlines Group (“HNA Group”), the fourth largest air transportation group in China.
  Located in Sanya, a beachside city which shares beautiful tropical scenery and enjoys the reputation of the second World Human Suitable Living City, the college covers over 1,000,000 sq. meters (100 hectares). As part of the first phase construction, the flight simulation building has been installed with 2 full flight B737-800 simulators, 1 fixed B737-800 training devices and 1 full flight Dornier 328 jet simulator. The second and third phase construction will include more teaching buildings, library, and student dormitory as well as sports facilities. At present, Sanya Aviation & Tourism College is the only higher educational institution in the region.
  There are 660 students and 90 teachers on campus at this time. In 2006, the college plans to enroll 2000 new students with 12 specialties. In accordance with its name, the college set all of the specialties related with aviation and tourism industry, i.e. civil aviation transportation, in-flight service, airport safety inspection, aircraft maintenance, vehicle maintenance, aviation catering, hotel management, conference and exhibition management, social physicaleducation and golf club management. The college will gradually set up more specialties and the total students will reach around 5000 within 3 years.
